Delete Your Account

In-App Deletion

If you can sign in, the fastest path is in-app:

  1. Sign in at darts.hotcomps.com or in the iOS / Android app.
  2. Open Settings from the main menu.
  3. Scroll to Delete Account at the bottom of the profile form.
  4. Confirm twice (Step 1 → Step 2). Your account is soft-deleted immediately and you’re signed out.

Email Request

If you can’t access your account (lost email, OTP not arriving), email us from the address registered on the account:

admin@hotcomps.com

Subject line: Delete my Hot Comps Darts account. We action requests within 14 days and reply when complete.

What Gets Deleted

  • Email address removed from our database (rotated to a hashed placeholder for foreign-key integrity).
  • Username removed from public leaderboards and league standings.
  • Push-notification token revoked from OneSignal.
  • Marketing-email subscription cancelled.
  • Profile photo (if any) deleted from storage.
  • Date of birth, country, marketing preferences erased.

What We Retain (and Why)

  • Anonymised prediction history — kept so historical leaderboards and league standings remain accurate for other players. No personal identifiers attached.
  • Audit-log entries referencing the account (deletion record itself, prior coupon issuance) — retained for 90 days for fraud-prevention purposes, then purged.
  • Outbound transactional emails already sent — stored on our email provider (Resend) for 30 days as per their retention policy, then auto-purged.

We do not sell, share, or use any retained data for marketing after deletion.

Reactivation Window

For 30 days after deletion you can email admin@hotcomps.com to undo the deletion. After 30 days the soft-delete becomes permanent and reversal is no longer possible.
